Tree number 4 down

The fourth tree on our felling weekend hits the ground. All the trees felled were used in projects around the wood and the area of the wood from where they came has been planted with some ash and sweet chestnut as well as some oak saplings moved into the light created.

Woodpile

Some of the woodpile and converted timber.

On site sawmilling

Matt and Brian from wensleyoakbeams.co.uk doing a great job of milling our larch. This is a great way of using the timber from our wood. The sawdust is used in the toilet and as mulch around our new trees. The slabwood has been used around the wood or as firewood, and the timber to build a Yurt and the Deck as well as fencing at home and some camp furniture etc.
